What an amazing ER visit. Literally turning a tragedy into something hopeful. Thank you so much to everyone who helped but especially a shout out for Seun Olyaele, RN!! And of course the doctor was great too!! Thank you for making us feel so comfortable in our time of uncertainty and fear!!

I was honestly surprised to see so many negative reviews. Then I reminded myself that hospital reviews are often influenced by outcomes, and trauma centers care for some of the most critically injured patients imaginable. Unfortunately, many of those cases simply don't have happy endings, so it's understandable that emotions can run high. That said, our experience was exceptional. Our young son suffered a devastating crush injury and, at one point, we genuinely believed he might lose his arm. From the moment we arrived, I felt like there were a dozen people caring for him at all times. The trauma team, pediatric team, and orthopedic team worked together seamlessly over the next 48 hours. Their communication, coordination, technical expertise, and bedside manner were all outstanding. I walked into that hospital convinced my son was going to lose his arm. Today, he has made a full recovery. I don't want to diminish anyone else's experience, but from our family's perspective, I truly couldn't have asked for better care. We will always be grateful to everyone who took care of Noah during the scariest time of our lives.

So far my daughter has been having the best excellent care from ER to ICU to regular. All personnel has been excellent. Only concern is that the ICU 6th floor does not have actual restrooms. It makes it difficult when every patient needs to use portables and the odors are not pleasant and causes extra nausea for those that are already nauseous. Also washing hands. It just doesn’t seem right for sanitation reasons. Also there wasn’t enough portables to go around so there was sharing between patients. Granted they wiped down with sanitary wipes but still they should make it a point to have one for each number of beds. Restrooms should be on all floors even for visitors. That has been the only concern so far and we are still here.

My cousin was there for 14 days, he never got a bath, but they bragged at how good of insurance my cousin had. One week they insisted on doing surgery. They kept pushing to do surgery, then the next week, they decided it wasn't necessary. No communication with the Healthcare representative. Very disappointed in this hospital. I expected better having UCLA in the name.

Nurse Kai in 4 West provided truly exceptional care to my family member, and I cannot speak highly enough about her. From the moment she walked into the room, her professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail were clear, and she made sure we felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. What truly set her apart was how she went above and beyond to get us more details about his condition she took the initiative to follow up, gather information, and make sure we fully understood what was going on instead of just giving surface-level answers
