SPECIAL THANKS AFTER GRADUATING FROM SKILLED CARE: Carmel: My very professional night shift nurse never became overwhelmed and treated patients with genuine compassion and like we were her own family! Very brilliant! Belinda: Administrator who assured patients had what they needed in the most compassionate manner. She runs this place and I don't know how she does it, but nothing gets missed and she's a great listener! Marie: Who was my first point of contact when the ambulance transported me from RRUCLA. Marie made my stay and accommodated my personal medical issues and kept them confidential and works in collaboration with the Administrator with a sense of humor and handles things promptly. Lon and Daniel: I have joined the Y already in my area to start swimming again starting with aerobics onto free swim. They both made me stronger and never dull moments. When I first arrived, I couldn't walk alone. I've continued what they've taught me. CNA: My CNA'S worked all through the night and assured I was clean, beds changed, fed, and worked closely with activities Director Letty.

My brother was transferred from UCLA Medical Center last week. Since then, he’s been eating better, the physical therapy has been helping and everyone has been very helpful. Ms. Carmelle in particular, has been tremendously helpful, making sure my brother has everything he needs, answering all of our questions and being very attentive. It’s not easy for my brother to be there or for me to have a family member in a care facility. However, it’s people like Ms. Carmelle who makes it a little easier. Her thoughtfulness and compassion is truly commendable. I firmly believe that she leads by example, hence the other supportive staffs are warm and caring as well. Thank you, Ms. Carmelle for everything you do on a daily basis. Please know that your hard work does not go unnoticed and we truly appreciate you. I hope your superiors and the board of directors recognize and appreciate you as much as we do. If you ever need a recommendation letter, id be happy to write one. I am very appreciative with the entire team here at Santa Monica health center. My mother in law had hip surgery and was treated with the most respectful kindness we all want our parents to be given. I want to thank each and every person here, my heart is full, they treated her with so much love, she was happy the entire time. We absolutely loved the kindest therapist that gave her strength and encouragement, the lovely staff that helped her with her everyday room cleaning, her showers, the desk staff, the beautiful ladies at social services that made her exit day smooth. Brings tears to my heart to see the kindness here and the patients all greeting eachother and sending good vibes to one another. We all want the best care for our parents and always want to not worry and I found this with this entire team. You are my family now🙏thank you Carolina Dharod

My grandma had hip surgery and has been staying here for about a month. The staff here is really great and went above and beyond in giving her care. She mostly speaks Hindi and they helped figuring out how to play movies on the tv in her language, they all do a great job treating her with care. She had some special requests for food and Michelle in admissions went above and beyond to help with that. We are extremely grateful for how much they helped with her recovery. On her birthday, they had a cake brought for her which made her so happy!! They have really kind people who work here who go above and beyond for patients!

Santa Monica Health Care is an amazing place! The people who help the patients and make this place work, are some of the most compassionate, caring and skilled groups I’ve ever met.
