The people and the facility here are wonderful. ALL of the staff have been great during a stay for orthopedic surgery. From admissions, to reception, to the care team, nurses, PT, surgeon, security, food service, housekeeping, and all of the others whose positions I don't know.... Absolutely EVERYONE here has been personable, helpful, and serious about providing good care. Not only are the people nice, plenty of attention has been given to the facility in general; it is not a dour, depressing institutional setting. Plenty of natural light, cozy and comfortable lounge areas for waiting rooms, sitting areas along the many windows as well as outdoors. The cafeteria is configured to have quick in-and- out seating areas, but also other more secluded sections for a serene mealtime, as well other areas for homey diningroom-like areas for groups or families. Plenty of seating outside overlooking lovely landscaped grounds. "Five stars, would come again" even though I hope the need doesn't arise anytime soon.

This was my first time at this hospital. My son was referred by his insurance to UCLA hospital for an MRI. The staff is very professional, patient and friendly. We registered in the 3 floor I believe room G3500 and the staff member a (gentleman-name Enoch or Ian) had such excellent customer service. He was very friendly and had such a positive attitude while attending patients ☺️. The doctors and nurses in the back were so professional, attentive and friendly. I was hesitant at first due to some reviews. I'm glad I was here. I loved it. Great staff!

My mother has now had two surgeries at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center over the past three years, and both experiences have been outstanding. Every single staff member we have encountered—from the physicians and nurses to the technicians and support staff—has been first rate. The level of professionalism, knowledge, and attentiveness throughout the hospital is truly remarkable. The teams are incredibly thorough, compassionate, and accommodating, and it’s clear that patient care is taken very seriously at every level. During stressful moments, the staff consistently took the time to explain things clearly, check in frequently, and ensure my mother was comfortable and well cared for. It genuinely feels like the “A team” works here. The coordination between departments and the overall attentiveness of the staff make a difficult experience much easier for patients and families. I can absolutely see why UCLA is considered the number one hospital in California. Our family is deeply grateful for the exceptional care my mother has received here.

I absolutely loved the private labor and postpartum rooms, which featured state-of-the-art facilities. The nurses and staff were always available at the slightest request, making me feel comfortable throughout my entire stay. They consistently checked in every two hours and were on call whenever I needed assistance. I was there for four days--two days for induction and then delivery via a minimally invasive C-section. The staff was wonderful, especially Nurse Cherry. She initially handled my admission, cared for me during the following two days, and was also by my side on delivery day. She stayed with me until the very last moment and even helped me with breastfeeding until the end of her shift. Her support and dedication made a huge difference in my experience. I also want to highlight my OB-GYN, Dr. Megan Bernstein, who provided excellent care throughout my pregnancy and delivery. She was incredibly supportive, always patiently addressing all my questions and concerns, and made sure every issue was fully resolved. Her professionalism and kindness gave me great confidence and peace of mind.

UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center is truly one of the most professional and well-organized hospitals I’ve ever visited. The staff is incredibly skilled, kind, and attentive, making sure every patient receives top-quality care. The lobby is spotless and welcoming, and the patient rooms and transfer areas are always clean, modern, and comfortable. They also offer convenient parking, which makes a big difference. From check-in to discharge, everything runs smoothly and with great respect and professionalism. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone looking for excellent medical care in a clean and supportive environment.
