I have been to many different UCLA health. But this location is sucks, always run out of time. I made an appointment to discuss my health but the doctor ran out of the door after 15 min saying come back later because i have an another patient. This is frustrating. People take time off from their work to get checked up. Why they can't schedule enough time?

Dr. Fernandez Montero is great here and all the doctors I've worked with. Sometimes they ask to do too many video visits, but other than that the doctors are caring and help you with your needs. I've been able to achieve so many things by choosing to go here and speak with the doctor. I advise anyone else to do the same. The front desk staff are so great too. They help in every way they can.

This place used to be great. The doctors were caring and appeared invested in their patients’ wellbeing. I don’t know what has changed but the change has been drastic. I have a history of depression. When things got rough for me some months ago I called the office and scheduled an appointment. Met with a very young smooth speaking fast thinking doc- he recommended for me to resume therapy and follow up to see if I needed medication again. The office was going to contacts me with a referral. Nothing happened- kinda like my experience with the bone density test referral- except that weeks later I got a big bill. I called the office and was told my very expensive insurance doesn’t cover “ mental health screenings”…. So basically, you see a doctor, you’re told you need help, you’re told to come back… and it’s a “ screening”- hence not covered by Medicare +Anthem Blue Cross. But, they’re do not hesitate to send me email reminding me to come in for checkups and more tests …. Not sure when they turned into a money making enterprise, but it’s very disappointing… and no, I won’t be back. Please stop sending me email unless there’s a plan to send me a bill for that as well…

I have been going to the UCLA Family Center on 20th St. for more than 3 years. The people at the front office and the nurses working there are very pleasant and professional. However, I was informed last week that because my new PCP is from another UCLA location (16th St., Santa Monica ) they will not do my blood tests anymore there. When I asked the pharmacist for the reason, he got very aggressive raising his voice. The reason? A clinic protocol he said! An unexpected reaction from an UCLA employee. Not a very professional or human one approach.

I've been to UCLA Family Health Center twice and have had really pleasant experiences both times. The office is air-conditioned, clean, and tidy. The front desk staff are attentive and timely. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Amanda Tran, she is sweet, kind, polite, and patient. She helped explain what blood tests she could order for me and which ones would be recommended based on my health profile.

While the Doctors themselves were fine, I have never in my life had such a terrible experience with a medical office (and for context, I have a chronic condition and have been to many different offices). I have been bounced around to different doctors within this office without any notice making it very difficult to build any kind of patient/provider relationship. The office has also showed a gross display of negligence when it comes to the most basic of medical tasks - filling out a prior authorization request. They have given me issues with this specific task on 3 separate occasions where they said they would complete the forms, did not do so/did it incorrectly so it wouldn't be processed, did not inform me or my insurance that they did not do so, which resulted in me having to forfeit my appointments with my specialist (which takes months in advance to book). The first time this happened, I was patient and understood that sometimes mistakes are made and things happen. The second time I grew a little more frustrated but still tried to be understanding and attribute these mistakes to covid. The 3rd time was the last straw as I saw this was nothing more than sheer negligence on the

Was able to see a doctor here on short notice even though she wasn't my PHP. Everyone I interacted with was very pleasant and professional (front desk; nurse; doctor; med student). I was even seen 10 minutes before my appointment time! The nurse in particular was truly hustling and was super efficient with everything she did.

While the MD was pleasant and answered questions, the CNA Rebecca K was cold and rude. She is impersonal, I didn’t even know her name until I asked. As a Helathcare provider myself , an RN, I was very disappointed in her treatment , or lack of… Ucla us known for exceptional patient care and she should NOT be representing this company or be in this profession. I would not recommend these facilities for this particular reason. Even if she’s having a bad ugly red hair day or a bad life, you’re not supposed to take your bad energy to work.
