I came in with a permanent retainer that had broken and needed fixing quickly. When I called, I was told they do place permanent retainers, but that the doctor would evaluate thoroughly before committing to anything, which turned out to be exactly how it went. Dr. Khan laid out five or six options, from the most minimal fix (reattaching the broken section) to more substantial ones (a mini Invisalign plan). I got a written cost breakdown for each and was given real time to think it over, including an offer to come back another day once I'd considered them. I chose a new permanent retainer after her evaluation confirmed it would work for my case, and the work itself was excellent. She told me to come back anytime if anything felt off. What stood out most was the consistency. The person who answered the phone, Dr. Khan, and the receptionist all told me the same thing—no contradictions, no surprises, no pressure. Pricing was clear before any payment was discussed. Given that most orthodontic work isn't covered by insurance, that kind of transparency matters more than people realize until they've gone without it. Dr. Khan and her whole team are wonderful. I specifically sought our the doctor because of her extensive knowledge and care. My experience was absolutely the best of any dentist or orthodontist I've ever seen. I cannot recommend the office enough. Her team is supportive, responsive, and so detail oriented. They can help walk you through what your insurance will cover, keep you up to date on your appointment steps, and the doctor will always take time to answer questions. 10/10 cannot recommend enough!

Dr. Khan and her entire team are amazing. From the moment you walk in, Aleem and Shannon make you feel right at home. They made the whole process, from consultation to finished product, super easy. I LOVE my new and improved smile. If you’re looking for a family-friendly orthodontist, Dr. Khan is the best you’ll find in LA. Trust me!!!

I grew up in NYC with very crooked teeth. I spent my life in and out of orthodontist offices from about 8-24 and subsequently developed a huge phobia of orthodontist offices / dentists in general. A couple years ago I realized that my teeth had moved around substantially and decided to get them straightened again as I'd already spent so much of my life trying to get them in place. I showed up with a huge amount of fear and anxiety and was treated with kindness and warmth. My teeth are not the easiest things to correct and I'm sure , especially at first, I was not the easiest client to work with. I flinch and squirm and often have to fight off panic attacks when I'm in a dentist office. I am prepared to be every orthodontist least favorite client, but I never once felt that way at Santa Monica orthodontics. The staff there is so incredibly kind and patient and Dr. Khan has been so wonderful working with me. She has never made me feel judged for being so afraid of something that feels so routine. She has been enormously patient with me as I sit in her chair and she has been extremely understanding about the anxiety I have surrounding any kind of metal in my mouth. The team there has

This is a wonderful place to have your family taken care of. The staff and Dr Kahn are the absolute best! My kids love going here! They take their time explaining what the best course of action is for my girls beautiful smiles. They are the best!! It is such a process and they understand the value of my desired outcome, because they care!! Wouldn’t trust anyone else!
