We had a wonderful experience, our daughter had dental implants and we felt like we were informed and prepared for each step of the process. The dentists and staff were welcoming and took time to make sure all our questions were answered. We highly recommend!

I drove all the way from Oklahoma to see Dr. Tatum for a peridontic consultation. She was able to work me in and accommodate me that day, since they had a cancelation and I had gotten my date of appointment mixed up. I really appreciated that, it was nice to see that they were willing to work with me as far as that part of the experience goes. However, after having several pictures and x-rays done, she comes in and introduces herself. That was all well and fine. Then does her thing, by taking a look at my teeth and gums. (Now mind you, my dentist referred me to Dr. Chang, NOT Dr. Tatum and I chose to see her because morning appointments work better for my schedule than afternoon and it was made clear that surgeries are MORE important than new potential patient appointment. I stressed that I would rather see who I was referred to, but was made to feel like I would not be able to and they would not work with me, so I agreed to see Dr. Tatum instead. That was my mistake, I should have pushed harder for Dr. Chang instead.) Anyway, after taking a look at my teeth and gums, she sits me up and proceeds to talk with me about what she saw. Fair enough. My daughter recently had a tooth extraction procedure with Dr. Chang, and it was an overall great experience! The staff was friendly and professional from the moment we arrived. They guided us through every step of the process, and I walked away impressed with how efficiently the office is run. As far as the procedure itself, Dr. Chang did an excellent job. My daughter experienced minimal discomfort during her recovery the following week, with is a testament to his skill and expertise. Dr. Chang's bedside manner was also exceptional as he noticed my daughter was nervous going into the extraction and he was able to put her at ease prior to the procedure. I would highly recommend trusting Dr. Chang and his office with your dental needs.

I got my first round of deep cleanings today and like most I am not a fan of sitting in that chair but Chelsea and the staff were amazing helping me get thru this stretch of work. My anxiety came straight down as the process started! Great work by this team.

Dr. Tatum and her assistant Kaelan were absolutely incredible! From the moment I walked in, their bedside manner made me feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for. Dr. Tatum is one of the most thorough providers I’ve ever seen. She takes her time explaining everything in detail and visually walks you through what she’s seeing so you fully understand your treatment plan and options instead of feeling rushed or confused. It can honestly feel difficult to know who to trust in the dental industry sometimes, but after meeting with Dr. Tatum, I felt completely confident in her expertise and recommendations. She is knowledgeable, transparent, and incredibly kind. Kaelan was equally amazing and made the entire experience feel welcoming and stress-free! If you’re searching for a periodontist, stop searching. Dr. Tatum is the one. I cannot recommend her and her team enough!

This place is NOT trustworthy at all and so relieved I did NOT choose Dr. Chang for my dental implant. He said I needed a bone graft for my 1 single implant and quoted me 8k - what a joke. I found a better honest periodontist in west Plano who only charged me 3k because said my X-rays clearly showed that I had high and plenty of good bone density for a successful implant WITHOUT using any bone graft. I love my new implant and the experience elsewhere was truly great and such a breeze - very simple and worth every penny. There are plenty of implant centers to choose from and I truly got lucky not wasting my money here - Highly don't recommend this place. Response to owner : The new periodontist I saw right after Dr. Chang took new x-rays and CBCT showing me that my bone density was good enough for an implant without a bone graft regardless of my infection situation since the focus is my bone density and height, which were both good enough and told me that a mere 1 week infection from unnecessary bad bone graft material would not effect an implant whatsoever since it was quickly removed anyway. I should not have had any bone graft material in the first place or afterwards at all and

I have never been to a dental practice like Drs. Chang & Tatums. For me it’s like visiting family. The staff are warm and highly professional. Dr Chang is very highly skilled, pleasant and professional and the entire atmosphere will definitely help you relax. The office and treatment rooms are state of the art. Dr Chang has worked wonders with the implants and bridgework I have required. I have had novocaine which I barely knew he gave me and conscious sedation due to length of treatment. I have never had a complication or issue and with all this extensive work at 76 years old the care has always been gentle and pain free. I cannot remember having to really take a bunch of pain pills post treatment. Kim the hygienist I see at the practice is great. The staff explains everything quite well. The cost of various treatments are discussed and thoroughly explained. This is the best dental experience I’ve ever had and continue to have. Debbie Papaioanu

I always have an outstanding experience at the Periodontics & Implant Center of McKinney. The staff makes me feel comfortable and cared for. The front desk team is friendly and efficient. Dr. Tatum is truly exceptional, highly skilled, gentle, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to explain every step of my procedure, making sure I fully understood what to expect. The precision and attention to detail during my implant surgery were impressive, and my recovery was smooth and pain free. I couldn’t be happier with my results. I would highly recommend the Periodontics & Implant of McKinney to anyone in need of periodontal care or implants. They truly set the standard for professional, compassion, and excellence.
