We annually hold our our ARRL field day at this location and the college has been very accommodating, providing us with a field and a parking lot for that 24-hour event.

Signing up for classes was easy and getting set up with financial aid was very hands on. Staff is very polite and always ready to help all ethnic backgrounds. Bilingual staff is always available to help. With today's current political climate it is refreshing to know you can get help in your own language if need be. Excited to start classes in the fall 🙌

Their graduation rate is 91%! Great small community college for those needing something easier to handle. Joshua made tons of friends, got the campus down easily so it wasn't difficult for him to navigate. He has a TBI that messes up his direction, knowing where he is at in his space in general. So, this smaller campus was a God send. He was accepted into #CSUN as a transfer student and completed his first semester there as he finished Ox in December. Proud momma thankful for options for my son who had disabilities. 💙

I am attending Ventura County Community College's to complete prerequisites for the Radiology technician program at Moorpark College. Some of my classes are taken at Oxnard College. While the campus is very nice with lots of shade and parking, some of the staff have been incredibly unhelpful. The financial aid department has been the worst. I have been appealing things over and over, and they do not bother try to see that I have updated my financial aid appeal. Also, one day, I went to the academic counseling office during regular hours and was told all the counselors were at a meeting. Common sense would be to have at least one person available, but zero common sense. The head academic counselor, however, was incredibly helpful after I called later on in the week. Overall, I do not recommend you attend any of the community colleges in Ventura County. They are incompetent, unhelpful, and do not seem willing to go the extra mile in their jobs.

📚At Oxnard College, I studied ESL (English as a second language). In general, the buildings are beautiful and the classrooms are well-equipped. 📱The library provides free books and iPads for students. ‼️However, opinions about the teachers vary. I have never encountered a worse teacher than German Bermudez! ⛔️He is very arrogant, unfriendly, and the atmosphere in his class is always tense! ❌He speaks with a strong Latin accent, and he never explains new words. He always speaks quickly, and he gives strict deadlines for homework that you can't complete (on an iPad), which other teachers don't do. 👎As I was informed, he used to be a student and now he's a tutor, which is why he has a sense of grandeur. I am very disappointed that the college doesn't have control over who they hire… ☝️Additionally, I would like to recognize the most excellent teacher in this college, Patricia Viveros! ❤️She always smiles, jokes with her students, and is very helpful in explaining new words!👩🏼‍🎓👨‍🎓 Her lessons are easy and fun, and the atmosphere is friendly! She is a great teacher with a lot of experience and a kind heart! ✨Her teaching methods make it easy to understand and learn English! I would rec
