Do not do it!!!! There are many schools for MA and other programs that are less than $1000. I went to this school during COVID and they "taught" me how to draw blood on the computer with a mouse and never tried to make it right. I contacted the president on many occasions and never got a response. I still owe like 15,000 and ended up going back to school to become a Registered Nurse. Which is FREE at Ventura college, moorpark, and Santa Barbara City college with the bog wavier. I also got FAFSA and cal b. Yes you have to do prerequisites but it's worth it. Charter got me my externship at the most outrageous clinic with the worst people to handle patient care and they paid me minimum wage. For something I just paid $24,000 for? Wow. The Dr and his wife were cool and the medical biller. But they had the most vile MAs that were rude to everyone pts and me included. I hated it there and they told me if I didn't stay they would have to take me another 3 months to find me another location that would put off my degree and they would have to charge me 3 extra months. So I just finished there and to me that was a toxic abusive place to have an externship at and they never helped me to find

This review is for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program at Charter College Oxnard. Charter advertises ABHES accreditation as if it meets employer expectations. In reality, most employers require ARDMS eligible programs. ABHES accreditation alone does not make graduates competitive. Charter also continues to imply that ARRT is widely accepted, when in real practice bridging from ARRT to ARDMS is extremely difficult and many job sites will not hire non-ARDMS graduates at all. Multiple employers, including major imaging centers, openly state they do not hire Charter graduates. This information is not disclosed clearly to students before enrollment.

Signed up for veterinary assistant course but it wasn't what I expected and it was more expensive because it's a for profit private facility,Staff was nice but the statistics show a low rate of graduates that actually get jobs and class is only two times a week also .

Unfortunately this school was a complete waist of time and money.Oh and I also graduated with hinors, a 4.0, so this is not the rant of a bitter failed student. I have attended a few schools over the years as I already hold a BA from a State college and went the JC route so I'm fairly familiar how an educational program should be set up, and Charter College, falls very far from the mark. I have learned more in preparation for the registries using a simple 140 dollar online program than I did in the 12 months of attending classes. I will say I had a couple of great instructors who tried the best given what the school provided and I am appreciative of that. The internship was the only part of the education where I feel something was gained and the staff at the site were beyond amazing. To sum it up do not trust the admission staff, as they filled me full of false information and job demographics that obviously do not apply to the state of California. Drew was an excellent salesman. If I had it to do all over again it would have been worth the 2 hour commute to a better college.

Charter College has been amazing! Not as crazy expensive as I thought it would be to go back to school, and the staff here are absolutely incredible! Amazing! I love my classes, and my teachers just make it that much better! Could not give a high enough recommendation for this school for the simple fact that they have taught me more than medical, but how to evaluate the way I think and react to daily circumstances! I am so glad I chose this school to better my future! THANK Y'ALL!!!
