I contacted Dr Calvert's office due to a tooth issue while traveling from out of state which I suspected would require a root canal. To start, the office staff with Gilma and Kat were extremely helpful, polite and professional in setting me up quickly for an appointment the next day. Dr Calvert and his assistant Emily made a great team in handling my required 3D imaging and X-rays to determine what was causing my tooth pain. Dr Calvert explained in detail the issue he was seeing from the data. He then explained my options and recommendations based on my symptoms, confirmed root infection level and pain level. I opted to have the root canal procedure done as the best option. The entire procedure went smoothly and Dr Calvert kept me informed as he was going through the process. He was very thorough and took extra precautions to ensure I was pain free and comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr Calvert and his staff should anyone need endodontic care.

I was referred to Oakland-Alameda Endodontics (Oakland office) by my dentist for a root canal, and my experience was wonderful from the very first phone call to the day of my procedure. I usually get very nervous visiting the dentist, so feeling calm is incredibly important to me. Ana, the assistant who welcomed me, was extremely kind and professional, answering all my questions right away. Dr. Calver made me feel safe and reassured the moment my treatment began. He answered my questions, and I felt completely at ease during the procedure. The treatment was exceptionally well done; I felt zero discomfort and he was so gentle that I didn't even feel the anesthesia injection! I knew from the start I was in great hands. Huge thanks also to Angelica and Kat at the front desk for being so friendly since my first call. Highly recommend this team!

I had an urgent issue and Gilma made sure I got in quickly to see Dr. Calvert. I needed a root canal and it was done in that visit. I am a health care provider and I was very impressed by the professionalism of the whole team, including assistant Monica, front desk staff Kat and Angelica, and especially Dr. Calvert. I highly recommend this practice.

The best dentist I've ever had in my 85 years of being a dental patient. I'VE Had some really good dental care, during my life. Dr. Calvert really was diligent, and took his time, which was most evident when he gave me novacain for the difficult root canal he just performed on me.... for the first time in my experience the procedure was painless. He did it in several stages which none of my other dentists ever took the time to do. That patience on his part made all the difference. He also was aware of the nerves close to the roots which determined his treatment, in a way other less conscientious dentists might have missed. His instructions for post operative care where thorough. The best root canal I ever had by far. His assistants were also way above the norm. Proficient, patient. And didn't rush me. Marisela,Gilma, and Ana. A great team.

I was at the Alameda office for a root canal with Dr. Calvert last week. The best dental experience I have had ever! Aside from the really great office vibe, Dr. Calvert was the best and nicest dentist I’ve ever been to. He took the time on my first visit to sit and explain all my options so I could make a really informed decision. Same on the day of the root canal and explain all he was doing. It was just such a good vibe from Dr. Calvert, his assistant Monica and Maddy at the front desk. Not many people like going to the dentist but my experience there was really just so nice. Everyone there from my first to the last visit was just top notch. I’d give them 20 stars if I could!
