Dr. Smitherman is incredible, I hadn’t been able to make any progress with my TMJ until now! The staff is always super friendly and I always get a good explanation of what my options are before we move forward with a treatment. I couldn’t recommend them more!

I was in such debilitating pain from TMJ that there were days I couldn’t get out of bed or even eat. I felt scared, overwhelmed, and honestly pretty defeated. Someone recommended that I see Dr. Smitherman, and I’m so grateful they did. After going through her TMJ program, my pain is no longer anything like it used to be. Even better, I now have tools and strategies that help me keep the pain under control. It has made such a difference in my quality of life. Dr. Smitherman and her entire staff are incredibly kind, supportive, and helpful. I’m truly thankful for the care I received.

Dr. Smitherman and team helped my jaw pain and locking with an appropriate appliance and follow up appointments to ensure I was on the right track. My jaw feels much better and no longer locks at night.

No patient in pain should be treated this way. When I arrived, my TMJ appointment was pushed back so they could squeeze in another patient who hadn’t even scheduled for TMJ. I had a prior engagement later that day, so as the delay grew, I showed my frustration — sighing and lightly shaking my feet while sitting in the chair — but I never yelled, screamed, or raised my voice. The office shpwed no remorse for their delay and instead later refused to let me return for the treatment they had recommended, knowing this would mean waiting another month in pain to see a different dentist. This wasn’t just unprofessional — it was unethical and unsafe. The office chose convenience over patient care.
