Christina was so kind and welcoming. After not going back for many years I was welcomed with joy and kindness. Christina helped me feel comfortable and not embarrassed about the many years of not going to a dentist, I appreciated it so much. Everyone in the office greeted me with a beautiful and happy smile. Dr. Kennedy was kind and understanding and I appreciated him answering all my questions and not making me feel rushed. The best experience I had at a dentist office.

Dr. Pham is by far the best dentist and most honest dentist I’ve ever been to. He never tries to add on unnecessary or cosmetic extras unless you request them and he will tell you if he thinks you need it or it’s just a waste of money. He’s also incredibly friendly and has had no problem allowing my child to go back with me during my appointments and making him feel comfortable by chatting with him while he did my exam. The rest of the staff is great as well. The hygienists are always super kind and make sure you’re as comfortable as possible during cleanings. I really wish they would start accepting Medi-Cal dental.

As a family we all LOVE Grand Island Dental!!! It took me some time finding the right fit for us as a family, after having our family dentist retire and then experiencing bad dental care it became urgent to do another more thorough search. At first introduction, from front office staff to hygienist to Dr I felt like I hit the jackpot. Friendly, professional, very informative in oral care options and gentle on dental procedures. Office is tidy, clean and very welcoming. Great all around family dentistry. My littles even enjoy going to the Dentist :) I’ve recommended and will continue to recommend to family, friends and whomever is in need of a great dentist to look at scheduling with Grand Island Dental ✨

I had such a great experience at Grand Island Dental! Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The front desk staff was kind and helpful, and the hygienist, assistants, and doctor all made me feel comfortable the entire time. They took the time to answer all of my questions and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I never felt rushed, and everyone was so gentle and reassuring throughout my appointment. Honestly, it was one of the most relaxing dental visits I’ve ever had! I could’ve fallen asleep in the chair! The office has such a calm atmosphere, and you can tell the whole team really cares about their patients. I’m so glad I found Grand Island Dental and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist in Bakersfield. Thank you to the entire team for making what is usually a stressful appointment such a positive experience!

Incompetence or fraud? My wife visited Dr. Pham and had a pleasant experience addressing an emergency. She was asked to pay an amount at the time of service before it was processed by the insurance company. Which, while unusual, isn't unheard of. We generally like to see the see the Explanation of Benefits from the insurance company before paying but we paid anyway and it has led to nothing but problems. In fact, they overcharged us at the time by $28.00, which is we like to see the EOB first. They continue to bill us for incorrect amounts, one time it's forty something, the next time it's fifty something we owe them. So we got on a call with our insurance company and called the hostile billing manager. Who took the call but quite literally had to be schooled by the insurance staffer because she clearly did not know or understand the billing process. And all for that, the confrontational and rude billing manager ended the phone by hanging up on both may wife and the insurance company. Do you want to be trapped in endless calls simply because an office manager doesn't know what they are doing? Or do they know and just want to squeeze money out of you? No matter what you need. No
