Was impressively quick getting an appointment and treatmeant for my tooth pain via a pretty quick and relatively painless root canal! (I was a bit anxious). Dr. Martinez and staff were kind and great at explaining what to expect and what was done!

I have really enjoyed my experience at Essential Endodontics. The patient care and the work done on my teeth has been flawless. I have really appreciated how they have helped me understand what I will be paying prior to any work done as well as their willingness to work with my insurance on my behalf. Everyone is very kind and friendly plus the wait time is never bad!

Took my son in to have some work done. They have several different locations, and their website has links and information for every location. When you click on the “book now” link for your chosen location, one would naturally assume it’s for the chosen location. Apparently not. I booked an appointment for the Aledo location, as it’s closest in proximity to where I live. The appointment that was issued was at the Fort Worth location, which is an hour away from where I live. I discovered this when I showed up for the appointment and the office was closed. I contacted them, and it forwarded to the Fort Worth office, where they said I was booked there, but they couldn’t get me in that day and I’d have to reschedule, and once again, they booked the Fort Worth location. Whatever. I’ll just eat the additional commute time and take my son there. When we finally show up to the appointment, the receptionist is rude as hell and not really all that helpful. The doctor was great, and did good work. I paid the bill in full and was relieved that my business with these people was done and I’d never have to see them again. Or so I thought. This dental office engaged in what I believe to be improper and potentially fraudulent billing practices. I was overcharged for services, including duplicate charges and services that were also billed multiple times to my insurance provider. After contacting my insurance company directly, they provided a detailed explanation of benefits confirming that my total out-of-pocket responsibility was $722. Despite this, the dental office charged my card $1,419.60 — nearly double the verified amount owed. Additionally, I scheduled my care with a specific dentist, but for my second visit I was seen by an associate due to the original provider’s unavailability. Although this change was not initiated by me, I was assessed a $75 “new doctor” fee. Charging a patient under these circumstances is misleading and raises serious concerns about billing integrity. When I attempted to resolve these discrepancies, I encountered repeated resistance. I was forced to make numerous attempts to obtain a refund, and while a partial refund was eventually issued, the office still owes me over $100 based on the insurance-approved amounts. I went in for a root canal. I have always had bad experiences with dental work and had a very bad experience with a root canal. Dr. Martinez was so amazing made me feel welcome safe and made it a very great experience. Sam and the other assistants were super helpful. I will be coming back if I ever need work again.
