Root canal performed in 2023. Today, 8-1-2025 I discovered that Dr. Safa had left a piece of a cleaning instrument in the root. He also missed a third canal. ( new endodontist said "it happens" so I don't necessarily blame Dr. Safa but do want people to be aware.) My new endodontist was finally able to identify and successfully treat and remedy the pain that Dr Safa was not able to. I had returned to Dr. Safa only months after he performed the root canal complaining of a dull pain. He took an x-ray and stood by his work and said it was good. He gave me a script for antibiotics and that was that. For two years I endured until I found another DDS who then referred me to another endodontist. He revised the previous work and now I'm pain free. I do not recommend Dr. Safa or South Pasadena dental (Dr. Sedghi) for referring me.

Fleecing of unsuspecting, patients. $285 for exam which didn’t happen and 43$ for an xray. Dr. Vu didn’t examine me. Looked at the xray and let me know her practice won’t be able to manage my case. Dental care is expensive. This is obscene. Won’t return or recommend.

Dr Safa is a gentleman. He is patient, kind, answers your questions and explains everything. Having a root canal with him was painless, and the best experience possible alll things considered. He remembers details and engages with you on human level and is truly interested in his patients. I’m lucky to have been able to share great conversations with him regarding health and just personal interests and hobbies. I would recommend any family or friend in need to see him.

The staff was kind and professional, making the entire visit stress-free. I highly recommend Dr. Safa for anyone needing dental work—you’re in great hands!

Dr Safa -- and Staff are perfect at providing professional services in this area of dentistry. Had never had a root canal removal - but this experience (from all accounts) was unbelievably without pain & done efficiently -- again his Staff and the doctor's methods are way above what's been experienced in past dentistry.
