I’ve been coming here for YEARS and idk what happened but she just seems to have lost her touch. I recently went and got a cleaning done and usually she’s very heavy handed but that day oh my god it was my final straw I couldn’t take it anymore. She asked me a question and as I went to answer she walked out of the room to grab something and completely ignored me. Then she did her usual asking sooooo many damn question while my mouth was filled with drills and water. And then she finishes drilling and totally forgets to do the front part of my top row an doesn’t tell me to floss and just says I have cavity’s beginning to form and her assistant tells me to brush longer and she never told me to floss or anything which I know I’m an adult but you should still tell you patients that and didn’t ask me how I brush my teeth maybe I’m doing it wrong because my teeth are white and I brush twice a day so I was shocked to hear that just no explanation. The only reason I knew this wasn’t good treatment is because i recommended her to my fiance and he went one time and told me I need to change drs saying that’s the worst dr he’s ever been to. She’s only my second dr I’ve ever gon to the other

I had a great experience at Young Smiles Dental. I struggle with a lot of anxiety when it comes to dental visits, but the team here was incredibly patient and understanding with me. The doctor and her assistant were both very kind and professional, even though I know I can be a difficult patient to work with at times or all the time. They took the time to make me feel safe, comfortable, and reassured that everything was going to be okay throughout the process. Thanks to their care and patience, I was able to get the treatment I needed and left with my teeth looking great. I truly appreciate everything the team at Young Smiles Dental has done for me. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, caring, and patient dental office.

I’ve been going to Dr. Young for years now. I no longer live in Bakersfield but I will continue to drive here every 6 months for my cleanings. She is consistently good and fast and I have a peace of mind coming here because I fully trust the staff. My extractions with her have been so uneventful and so quickly done- it can’t get any better than this.

I had a disappointing experience at Young Smile Dental in Bakersfield. The dentist seemed impatient throughout my visit. She did not complete my tooth filling on the first day, sent me home without making adjustments, and asked me to return the next day. I didn’t complain, even though I had difficulty eating that entire day and night. When I returned for the adjustment, although she asked if my bite felt normal, she looked like impatient. Finally, she didn’t wait to hear my full response and just walked away without any explanation. I’ve never met such a medical professional and I would never do like that to my patients. As a medical professional myself, I understand the importance of patient communication and mutual respect, which I felt was lacking in my experiences with her care. Additionally, on the first day, she blamed my tongue position during the procedure, stopped midway, and refused to complete the filling, insisting I return the next day. Changing tongue position during the dental procedure is a body’s reflex to prevent asphyxiation by the oral secretions. She must understand that concepts as a medical professional. I was referred here for an extraction, the staff was so nice and helpful, the Doctor was great and gentle, it took more time for me to fill up the paper work than for my tooth to be out. they made sure I was in no pain and couldn't feel anything before they started pulling out. Such a great experience for me, will definitely go back.
