Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
The business lists hours on 4 days of the week. Typical hours are 7 amβ4 pm. Note that it does not open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Houston peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I have been a patient of this office for almost 15 years. That alone should tell you how great they are. Even with the change in management, there was no decline in service or attention. Special shout out to my dental hygienist Kathy. She has been in my mouth since day one and I truly adore her.

The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. Dr Di Matteo is very knowledgeable and explains everything. He was able to do my procedure the same day. I only have good things to say about this practice.

I recently had gum graft surgery with Dr. Erick Di Matteo on three teeth and I am very grateful for the terrific work he did. He explained the process thoroughly and made sure to answer any questions I had before my surgery and made sure I did not feel any pain. I had a followed up recently to be checked on my stitches and recovery all looked great. I am healing properly and my experience definitely exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Dr. Erick Di Matteo. Thank you so much to him and all the staff. Justin L.

Excellent initial visit! Dr. DiMatteo and his team were dedicated to making my experience a success. The environment was clean and comfortable. Dr. DiMatteo explained everything in detail, took his time, answered my questions and made me feel valued and respected. Despite being a βdental phobicβ, Iβm looking forward to being a patient of Dr. DiMatteo π
