Dr. Pannkuk is a master of his craft. I had a serious fall that caused the nerve in one of my front teeth to die, which made it turn dark. I was genuinely terrified that I was going to lose the tooth entirely, but I am so grateful I found Dr. Pannkuk to handle the situation. Because of the nature of the trauma, it was a complex case, but he successfully saved my natural tooth and helped me avoid the surgery and crown I feared were inevitable. The process involved very little pain, which is a testament to his skill. He performed a complex root canal and internal bleaching on that specific tooth, and the result is incredible—my smile actually looks better than it did before the accident. If you are looking for a specialist with exceptional expertise, Dr. Pannkuk is the absolute best!

** The only bad review I have ever left ** My visit with Dr. Pannkuk was unprofessional and a waste of resources. After a three-hour wait with no apology, I was charged $500 for a 3D scan only to be refused treatment because the case was "too complicated." Furthermore, the office refused to email my records, citing file size limits and insisting on snail-mailing a CD-ROM. In 2025, refusing to utilize secure cloud transfer for patients is absurd. I no longer live in the country (which I mentioned when I attended this exam) and there was absolutely no mention of needing to snail mail records. I do not recommend this provider, he's an absolute joke, please for the love of God go to literally anyone else.

The whole staff was amazing, but specifically the Dr. And Selene exceeded my expectations. I have never felt so comfortable at a dentist office. Selene worked extra hard to make me feel cared for. Going to the dentist is always nerve wracking for me, but they easily made this experience so smooth. I had a root canal done, and there was little to no pain the whole procedure.

Dr. Pannkuk is the endodontist’s endodontist. I know, because I am one. I traveled 300+ miles (past who knows how many other endodontists) to have my root canal done by him. I know firsthand how important a HIGH QUALITY root canal is. Unfortunately, I suspect most of Santa Barbara doesn’t have a clue what a world-class endodontist they have in their midst. Count yourself very fortunate if you are referred here for any endodontic procedure.
