I am writing this positive review for Dr. Haverkorn and his staff. The staff that works there is very nice. Mercedes was so comforting while I was getting my painful procedure done . She patted my shoulder the whole time!! Such a good bedside manner that made me much more comfortable. Thank you !!!

I needed a cracked tooth with an infection below pulled. I was pretty nervous about this. From the first phone call to the procedure, it was a piece of cake. The front desk, nurses and Dr. Haverkorn were great at making me feel comfortable. I never felt any pain and the procedure was over in no time. Excellent prices as well. Dr. Haverkorn was the only oral surgeon willing to give me exact pricing before a consult, which mattered because my 15 year old needed all four wisdom teeth removed and a 12 year molar repositioned, and I do not have dental insurance. Every other office wanted a $200+ consult fee just to reveal the cost, even when I sent a panoramic X ray, and none would give a range. I was not willing to risk paying a consult fee only to be told the surgery would run $5000 or more. Dr. Haverkorn told me the full price upfront and applies the consult fee toward the surgery total. We drove an hour from San Marcos to San Antonio because the transparency and affordability were worth it. On the day of surgery, he completed the extractions and the molar repositioning in about 35 to 40 minutes. He kept the incisions small, and my son had minimal swelling, no complications, and was eating soft foods the next day. That kind of surgical efficiency only comes from someone who knows exactly what he is doing. That evening, Dr. Haverkorn personally called to check on his pain level, swelling, and how he was tolerating liquids. I would refer Dr. Haverkorn without hesitation. Update 5-29-2026: The office staff member that made changes without consulting the patient (Jessica) has just called today, Friday, May 29th to state that we need to find another dental surgeon. She and dental office were upset by Google review & instead of taking care of a patient with broken tooth & in pain, decide to turn away a patient. Instead of admitting the office error, they reply & react in an extremely unprofessional manner. No empathy toward their patients. Definitely not the place to go. There are plenty of dentists in SA. I strongly suggest to go elsewhere. I have attached the confitmation sent by their office, the appointment they did not complete due to theur staff's error. Arrived for appointment and was told that it had been changed by them for earlier time. Offered to re schedule for 2 weeks later. Apparently a staff named Jessica changed it without notifying the patient, hmmm! Had asked for day off from work jusylt to show up and have Crana, front desk person say no surgeon was present. How unprofessional.
