Dr. Perkins results have been a lifesaver, not sleeping is the root cause of anxiety and teeth clenching, is has reduced my resting heart rate and blood pressure, and with that I am managing an already stressful job. I highly recommend!

My journey with Dr. Perkins started with noticing my jaw clicking. When I was at the dentist for a cleaning, I mentioned this, and they sent me to Dr. Perkins. Little did I know, my whole life was about to be changed for the better. I received a phone consultation with Dr. Perkins, and he informed me that he believed I had a sleep disorder and the clicking of the jaw was just a symptom of a worse problem. After a visit to the office, his diagnosis was the same and asked me to complete a sleep study. I must admit, I was EXTREMELY skeptical of his diagnosis. I never really went to the doctor often and really thought he was just crazy but decided to give the sleep study a try. The findings were I had obstructive sleep hypopnea. After the findings, I decided I did not want to commit to such a treatment yet. I waited an entire year before finally committing to getting treatment from Dr. Perkins. During this time, my jaw deteriorated even worse, and I started to have pain in my ears and jaw (all of which Dr. Perkins said would happen if I didn't get treated). Dr. Perkins has saved my sanity. My snoring was so incredibly loud and uncomfortable for me and my spouse that neither of us was sleeping well. My body was swelling, I had high blood pressure, horrible reflux, and severe headaches for the first time in my life. All my other doctors told me it was old age or sleep apnea and want to put me on pills for everysymptom... I was 42yrs old. I am now a year into my treatment and my energy is back to normal, I don't snore, no high blood pressure or headaches, and my reflux is subsiding! Best of all... NO PILLS!! Definitely recommend getting treatment with Dr. Perkins for sleep apnea and TMJ! The effect I've had has been life changing! The patience and care Dr. Perkins always have with every visit just makes it so much easier when it comes to being treated with his expertise! One thing I will point out is how he recommended getting the back device from the start of my treatment and it truly made a difference! It may seem like it doesn't do much, but I had a recent experience of forgetting it in one of my trips and waking up without my back device really made me feel a difference! Being without it is like going back to waking up not feeling truly rested. I will continue to wear it since now I see how it effects in getting restful good sleep!
