so , ive been using mhid services for a while , and ever since i got jackie or jackelyn Brady its been a complete MESS. she always cancels on me, she wont text me back so im left in the dark about the appointment until AFTER she feels like responding. so inconsiderate and rude, im trying to get MY LIFE together and here she is canceling appointments and letting me know almost an hour AFTER the set date was confirmed 3 times. so unprofessional , if you ever take services here, DO NOT TAKE JACKELYN BRADY AS YOUR CASE WORKER unless you want to have little to no help at all.

I'm from the bottom of my Heart and my families We appreciate everything every worker does for this center .you all are what makes it happen for the lost ..the weary..that we are not alone .u are there to show us We are not alone.God has us like u do ..y'all give y'all's one hundred and expect nothing in return but only to be better than we were before every day and I'm Grateful for your services I got out of homelessnesss due to you all..I got the mental health and medication I needed ..and I'm still learning to be a Human .most of all Treated me like a human Thank you all staff of MHID

Worked up the courage to try to get counseling services, went here because I don't have the money for private practice. I completely regret it. Despite stating several times I had no access to suicide methods and was doing ok which is why I wanted help, they surprised me mid-intake with the police who told me I was required to go to Spohn's ER and if I attempted to leave they would force me to go. Escorted by police car and dropped off, triaged, and waited to see the psychiatric doctor at Spohn. Dr. Youngblood thankfully cleared me in thirty seconds of talking to me. Then had to walk back to MHID in the cold because there was no means to get back. They were closing right at I got back to my car and the staff could not give less of a shit what they did to me. Now Spohn is also saying I owe them thousands of dollars. Great time. Thanks!

Michael Noyola, caseworker, is the worst. He is very unethical and managers and administration do Nothing about the complaints against him. Try to avoid thus caseworker if you choose to get services here.

I do not recommend this facility for mental health care it is a roller coaster ride to try and get medication for anyone with mental health. They say you can walk in at 8 am and be seen but then they tell you you have to make an appointment and do in an intake which is a 3 day process and this has happened several times when we have walked in and then you have to start over. They have lost 3 counselors in a year which also made the process start from the beginning. My recommendation is go somewhere else and the state needs to come in and reevaluate this process so the people who need help can actually get it. Austin has a better program and should initiate that in Nueces county bc this one is a joke. Day 2 of trying to get medication instead we had a 2 hour intake for the 3rd time this year and after she said he would not see the Dr today he was done with the intake.

It is no wonder why the services are horrible quality, case managers change so often for us clients, and there is no sense of order. There are so many ethics violations at any given time, including numerous HIPPA violations. Tell me why staff are leaving messages to the numbers on file for their clients without verifying the phone number. Or why we can hear case managers make fun of and joke about their clients down the halls. I have heard full on conversations, names, scenarios, everything about other clients simply from next door to the room I'm in. Doors are left open, staff make jokes and discuss PII topics in the open. Several of the staff members are clearly dissensitized. They treat us clients like we are a burden. The employees are very unprofessional. It is very clear they receive very little to no training with the apparent revolving door, that is MHID/MHMR. Case managers there have no clear roles it seems and this is confusing for us. How this place is recieving any funding I do not know, this enter center needs to be audited. It seems both staff and clients are suffering due to incompetence from the upper management there.

I had to go here several times before they finally allowed me to have a real appointment. I have severe anxiety and do not do well around strangers. When I finally got to talk to the intake specialist, she told me I wasn’t mentally ill enough to see a doctor and recommended that I see a gynecologist and go to therapy. I told her a lot of things that ARE worth me seeing a doctor. This ruined my entire day because I have been trying to get mental health help for months and it’s hard enough seeking help only to be told it’s not serious enough. This could really push someone over the edge to kill themselves. Worthless and dangerous.

I really want to give yall the best review because yall got me the help I needed. But every couple months I’m forced into medication withdrawal because my case manager Mariah will not answer my calls to schedule my doctor appointments to get my meds. I call her and leave voice messages she never gets back to me and I’m not able to schedule with the doctor unless I go through her. Because of this I’m experiencing a lot of emotional distress and medication withdrawal. I’m currently in medication withdrawal because I tried to call her 3 times last week and once this week and left a voice mail every time and she still has not gotten back to me and because of this I do not have access to medication that I need. Please do better. My previous case manager Amber Ray was amazing she even gave me her personal number to ensure that never happened to me but Mariah doesn’t seem to care about her patients or take her job very seriously and it’s effecting her patients.
