This is the first review I have ever written, and I felt I had to write it after attending this course. I have taken many veneer courses over the years, but none impacted me the way this one did. The amount of knowledge shared over the 2 day course was incredible. What impressed me most was the doctor's commitment to preserving natural tooth structure and his minimally invasive approach to veneers. The hands-on training was outstanding. He personally check every student's preps and taught us every step, from smile design and patient communication to preparation, provisional, material selection, bonding, cement clean up and occlusion. What truly sets him apart is his dedication to the patient experience and long term success. He meets with patients through multiple appointments before finalizing their veneers to make sure they are completely satisfied with their smile design while also verifying that function, occlusion and overall oral health goals are achieved. Equally impressive was seeing how committed he is to saving teeth that almost all the clinicians might consider hopeless. Mind-blown the first day of Implementing Occlusion part 1! Occlusion is a topic I’ve always dreaded but also been excited about at the same time. Dr. Ruiz breaks it down simply to where one can understand and literally implement at one’s practice right away. When an instructor can breakdown a topic so complex, that’s a sign more courses need to be taken! He talks about why occlusion is very important to understand as it applies to all aspect of dentistry. Understanding occlusion and applying it to your practice not only will increase the longevity of your restorations but it will also make your practice profitable. This is what he teaches and so much more. Very happy with the experience and looking forward to taking more courses in the future. 100% recommend!

Dr. Ruiz and Dr. Kim are extremely passionate about teaching and great educators about minimally invasive dentistry. Reignited my passion for dentistry and I’m so excited about their mini residency!

Dr. Ruiz is top notch for learning the newest techniques for conserving tooth dentistry. The hands on clinic facility is beautiful, with great equipment. It's definitely worth taking a class here to keep your dentistry on the cutting edge!

I am currently doing the Mini Residency Program at the Los Angeles Institute of Clinical Dentistry, and it’s been such a valuable experience. I have learned so much from improving my basic skills like direct composites, which has really helped my speed and confidence, to understanding occlusion and how to create long-term, functional smiles for patients. Dr. Ruiz is an incredible educator. He has a way of breaking down complicated concepts that was taught in dental school and making them easy to understand and apply in real life.
