Recently I had periodontal work done by Dr. Mata and I am happy to recommend him to others. Dr. Mata and his team are well qualified, communicate clearly and operate a very nice, clean practice. Dr. Mata did an excellent job on the work required and he and his team were a pleasure to work with.

Have been a patient for several years and have had multiple implants. Dr Mata, and his staff are responsive conscientious; Dr Mata is very skilled in his area of expertise, periodontal treatment and implants! Dr Mata experience and years A——true pioneer in this field! Very gentle too!

I was referred to see Dr. Mata from my general dentist. I had a problem to my tooth root which exposed and recessed makes the tooth very sensitive and sore. First day in consultation, Dr. Mata explained very details and answered questions concerned to my teeth’ health, procedures, and other things related to surgery. He was very patient, careful, thoughtful. In my first surgery, I was very nervous and afraid of the pain after the procedure. However, Dr Mata had a good magical hands, he was very dedicated and gentle during procedures. I don’t feel pain and not even take Advil to soothe the pain. I was so happy and drove home by myself. 3 days after, I felt something boring in my mouth, it looked like the small white opaque particle and I made a call to the Dr but he was busy. Then he gave me a call back and explained things happening was no worry. He was very nice when saying if I need to see him during Xmas holidays, he still be around to see me. He really cares about you and loves his job. Thank you Dr Mata. You are so wonderful and i am grateful to be your patient. Thanks to the staff, they are very kind and friendly. I Would give thousands recommended him to everyone

My Dentist referred me to Dr. Mata for my implant. He did a great job. The second post i got didnt hurt at all the next day. I didnt even need Advil. I also like the fact that they have nitrous so the experience is totally pain free. The office is upscale looking and Dr. Mata and his staff are all very helpful, professional and friendly.

Hello to all. Just wanted to let you know how I'm doing. After the 3 extractions I had yesterday, I have not needed pain medication and have had no pain what so ever. I am happy that those problem teeth are gone. My compliments to Dr. Mata and his wonderful staff. Thank you all for taking such great care of me. Sincerely, BH

James is the most gentle, kind and professional dentist in OC. To be honest, Just like most people who are reading reviews nowadays, I wasn't 100% convinced when I saw a business with a full 5 stars review (It's hard to believe). ONLY then when you come see James you WILL know that's he's the real deal when it comes to Periodontics & Dental Implants. James is an excellent listener, all questions and concerns that I had, He addressed each and everyone of them with all the detail and AGAIN... made sure that they actually made sense to me. I'm sure you could stop yelping RIGHT HERE, NOW if you are looking for a Periodontist because you will be so happy that you HAVE chosen to go to James.

Dr. Mata and his staff are wonderful - highly trained, skilled and very friendly. I had gum surgery and bone graphing that saved my molar. It took an hour and a half and was actually fun most of the time - joking around and great conversation. I'm 72 and have never had this much enjoyment during a dental appointment. And there was virtually no pain during the entire experience and as well into the next day when the novocaine had worn off.
