Since the start of this year we have incorporated German Zahn into our practice and have been very happy with their services. She has great eye for detail and is a very skilled technician. The convenience of chair side custom staining has been an added plus for our practice. The same day pickup and return on repair cases leaves patient with less time without their appliances. Overall I would say that we have had a good experience and you should try and may find yourself pleased that you did. Thank you again for all your help.

I've been using German Zahn Dental Lab for over a year now, and I am consistently impressed with their service and quality. The lab's attention to detail and commitment to excellence is evident in every piece they produce. As a dentist who relies heavily on precise fittings and high-quality materials, I appreciate that any minor fit issues with crowns are normally quickly resolved with simple adjustments to the contacts. I have had to send in some cases for remakes, but they are few and far between. I primarily use an iTero scanner for digital impressions, and Zahn seamlessly integrates with this technology, ensuring accurate and efficient results. Another reviewer mentioned stone models - the only time I use stone models is with implant crowns since I'm not a fan of scan bodies (personal preference). In my experience the implant crowns also need either no adjustments or minor adjustments to fit. The owner, a very kind and dedicated woman, goes above and beyond by personally visiting my office to confirm shades for anterior crowns. The first couple batches of crowns we ordered from German Zahn were perfect, but unfortunately they've had >80% fail rate on every crown since then. The worst part (besides endless remakes and having to bring every patient back for reseats multiple times)? They charge for remakes, even when they admit the problem was their own and the impressions were perfect. The problems this lab don't stop there, however. There are quite a few great labs out there, but unfortunately German Zahn is not one of them. I would personally recommend taking your business anywhere else--even the labs that outsource to China are more reliable than German Zahn.

First 40 crowns were perfect. Same exact impression technique for the last 15 years. Packed cord, perfect shoulder margin finished dry with fine diamond on low speed. 8 out the last 10 didn't fit (ETA 24 out of 27 now, OMG). The lab charges 26 dollars to pour stone impressions by the way. Initially I had agreed to pay 26 to print models from Medit scanner, and offered to pay extra so that they would print the entire model instead of merely a sextant. So upon returning to traditional stone models, the 26 dollar fee remains. My 2 cases from this morning had a 3mm and 1mm open margin due to internal hangups. Same as the other 7 that were remakes the last 2 weeks. Recently got a screw retained implant crown #7 (prescription wasn't followed) with a screw hole out the facial. Common sense lacking, probably because these cases are getting outsourced. If you like headaches and enjoy fiddling (i.e. functioning as a human CEREC machine) with crowns for 20-30 minutes to get them to seat, this is the lab for you.
