I wish I could give 0 stars. This is regarding Dr Jones. I had a wisdom tooth extraction (4 teeth) at Santa Barbara Center for Oral and Maxillofacial surgery (by Dr Jones) on July 18th. When I came out of surgery no one had told me what had happened. Eventually we found out 5 days later that it was a “code brown” situation while I was under anesthesia. Dr Jones eventually admitted to pushing my upper left wisdom tooth too far and lodging it into my upper cheek where they then had to “dig” it out of the buccal space. I wasn’t able to breastfeed my 9 month old for 10 days due to being on heavy pain killers for a week longer than they anticipated. I eventually ran out of milk supply. I was completely numb in my left cheek, upper lip, left upper teeth for almost a year. Dr later admitted to this happening only one other time in her 15 year career and admitted this was a rare complication/mistake, but despite how rare and severe of a complication, I didn’t see her in person until 11pm on Friday the 22nd when I called her (for the 6th time) because I had very extreme pain in the upper left of my mouth and head. Dr Samantha Jones is the best. A very skilled surgeon and a beautiful human being. At the moment she works on my 3rd Implant, each had to get bone graft. She and the team around her are working friendly, relaxed and professional together. I never had such a good experience at a dentist. I’m very thankful that I found her and can highly recommend her.

Like many before me, I was very nervous about my upcoming extraction. Dr. Jones was not only more than capable, she had a wonderful chair-side manner that put me at ease. She is also extremely competent and she’s very good at communicating how the procedure is progressing. I had no pain whatsoever and there were no after visit complications. I would recommend Samantha Jones to anyone!

Dr. Jones made it her mission to make me as comfortable and taken care of as much as she could. Her and her staff are very well educated as well in striving in patient care. I would recommend this office to anyone who may need any kind of oral surgery. They even have courtesy calls to check up on your recovery and to see if you need anything. This office wants to make sure their patients are taking care of!! Dr. Jones professional work shows through my recovery, the healing process is always tough but her technic has made it smooth sailing!
