I would avoid this place if you truly want a real chance at learning dental assisting. My internship here was terrible to say the least. I was 33 weeks pregnant at the time. During my 2 weeks interning, there was no hands on teaching involved.. All I did was clean up after patients and prep the rooms for the next.. I learned nothing. The older Dr. John who is likely retired now told me to “walk faster” as I was walking down the hall. He could have very easily passed me but he made that comment instead. I am a marine veteran with bad hips and I was very much noticeably pregnant. I thought that was very disrespectful and mean of him to say. That was my first and only interaction with him to make things worse. Don’t waste your money here, find somewhere who will spend the time to teach you more than just sanitation and maybe even be kind.

I am so happy that I found this school. This program has been the best learning experience by far and the teachers are just amazing!! Everything is hands on learning which I enjoyed the most. Also, I was offered a job during internship and met a lot of new wonderful people. Wish I had done this program sooner !

This was an amazing school to go to! The class is fun and the instructor Brynn is amazing. She will never leave you confused or questioning what’s going on. She is so patient and endlessly helpful. This school made me so excited to start my career as a dental assistant. It’s worth all the time and money that you put into it. Thank you Dr. John and Brynn for this experience! I couldn’t recommend it more!

I love this place! The Coleman's are an amazing team. Their patients and now, students, come first. They take the extra step to ensure their patients are receiving the best care. Continuing education has always been a top priority for the Coleman's. Dr. John has now expressed that dedication to his students. It's truly been my pleasure to learn from them. I have been in the dental field for over 16 years. In the beginning of my career, I would've loved to attend this school. It's such a fun way to learn and sets you up for an everlasting career. I look forward to seeing you at the Dental Assistant School of San Diego!

Taking my dental class through this school was great, I had a wonderful experience and got more out of it than I expected. The training was really good and there was a lot of hands on, rather than just reading from a book. The staff is wonderful Dr. Coleman, Dr. John and Brynn are awesome! They helped me a lot with everything I needed to know and were very patient. Taking this program was definitely worth every penny. I would recommend and encourage anyone who wants to be a dental assistant to take the program it is a great experience. The thing I loved and enjoy the most was the labs and internship it gave me the opportunity to find a job close to home!
