My father had an experience at this office approximately two years ago that has stayed with him ever since. He went in as a potential patient and, according to him, once the dentist/staff saw that he had SCAN insurance, the reaction was essentially, “No, no, we’re not taking him. His insurance doesn’t cover anything.” I completely understand that a dental office may not accept every insurance plan, and that certain plans may provide limited coverage. That isn’t my issue. My concern is the way it was communicated to him. My father says no one really took the time to explain what his insurance did or did not cover, whether the office was simply out of network, or whether there were any other options available to him. Instead, he left feeling embarrassed, dismissed and disrespected simply for presenting the insurance that he had. Even if you cannot accept someone as a patient, there is a compassionate and professional way to explain that. People should never be made to feel ashamed because of the type of insurance they carry. I’m genuinely curious whether other patients with Medicare/SCAN or limited dental coverage have had similar experiences here, or whether this was an isolated

Literally obsessed with this office😭 From the second you walk in, everyone is so friendly and nice. Their new office is gorgeous, super clean, and just has such a good vibe. The original OG location is great as well with so much parking. Which is RARE in downtown! I brought two of my family members with me this last time and the staff was amazing to them. They were so sweet and made them feel comfortable which made the experience so much easier for me too. Dr. Alex has such a calm, laid back personality that I am always so relaxed here and so were my family. Oh, and the pricing is very reasonable! Big plus!

I came in thinking I was just getting my teeth checked and somehow left with a masterclass in dentistry. Dr. Alex is the only person I know who can make talking about cavities entertaining. He introduced me to curodont, which basically feels like dental wizardry. The fact that you can help heal early decay without drilling sounds fake until he explains it and you realize he’s actually serious. The customer service here is next level. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and seems happy to be there. And Shayda deserves a special shoutout because she keeps everything running smoothly while somehow remembering everyone and making patients feel like family. The office is easy to find, free parking and the technology is impressive. If you’re looking for a dentist who is honest and doesn’t immediately reach for a drill, Dr. Alex is your guy. 10/10.

I highly recommend this Dental clinic. I’ve been a Pt for about 9 years and Dr Alex is the best Dentist I’ve had. The clinic is very clean and organized, the receptionist are very welcoming and helpful. The Dental assistants are super nice, friendly and have great customer service. If you’re looking for a better care for yourself this is it! You won’t regret it. Thank you Dr Alex, Liz and Maria for your help you guys are amazing!

Been coming here for some time now and I have so many wonderful things to say about this place. Dr. Alex has completely changed the way I look at dental care. He’s really big on preventive dentistry, which I didn’t fully understand before but now I get it. Instead of just fixing things when they go wrong, he’s always helping me think ahead to avoid bigger issues. He explains everything in a way that actually makes sense, and I’ve learned so much about my own teeth just from coming here consistently. Over time, I’ve gotten to know the whole team and I genuinely love everyone there. From the second you walk in, it feels welcoming and easy, not stressful like most dental offices. They remember you, check in on you, and just make the whole experience feel really personal. I’ve had everything from cleanings to more involved work here, and every single time it’s been smooth and comfortable. Such an amazing team of experts! Highly recommend Crystal Dental and Dr. Alex M!
