Went to this place for severe longstanding one-sided jaw pain, headaches, neck soreness, etc. Their suggestion after a 20 minutes was to do surgery to numb half of my face permanently. Desperate for other options, I went to a naturopath who suggested cutting out gluten, dairy, and sugar. Felt better in about a week but not sure why. Continued having symptoms on and off for another decade. Fast forward to now - I am diagnosed with silent reflux. This is what was causing my problems. The doctors here literally suggested numbing my face rather than trying to figure out what is actually a common condition (but with somewhat unusual presentation). Meanwhile my condition probably would have worsened if I had done that, since I would have had a harder time noticing symptoms. Truly horrific.

This is the first time I have visited this clinic it's a really bad experience. The registr is too slow and the service is very slow too. I was waiting for almost an hour. You feel like you are in an abandoned place. ( 7 floor.)

A follow-up: I would like to know if anyone who went to this Clinic was actually helped by the treatments they received. I’m of the opinion that the traditional treatments for TMJ simply do not work. Has anyone out there gotten relief from any of their treatments? I also don’t understand why dentists are treating this orthopedic condition. Dealing with joints is not in the training of dentists and they seem to do more damage than good, particularly when they attempt to realign the jaw using orthotics (nightguards). My experience has been negative with this. It did more harm than good. Please post your experiences, if they were positive.

Until now, I never understood people who had a disdain, mistrust, or downright hatred for the medical profession. I am at the point where I’ve become one of those people. I will preface my comment by saying that I have been through other treatment programs and reached out to this clinic as a last ditch effort to get help after four years of suffering with TMJ disorder. Modern medicine, in general, has not gotten to the point where they can successfully treat this condition. You are better off seeking the help of non-traditional practitioners. I have gotten great help from craniosacral therapy and upper cervical chiropractic. You can learn the physical therapy exercises you will learn here from free internet resources, and any medications (NSAIDS, which ultimately destroy your stomach) which might help can be gotten from your GP. This clinic won’t recommend you for surgery unless you are an extreme case, and I mean extreme. (Can’t open your mouth at all). It’s sort of shameful how little is known about this condition and the pathetic state of the treatments available. Get a $500 neck massage! Usually that includes a happy ending, but here the happy ending is a $500 bill for a 30 min appt. Something seems very suspicious about this practice. First they don't take insurance which seems like a red flag. Second, they charge $500 for you to sit in a chair while a Dr. and likely a few medical students take a cursory look into your mouth. The Dr. seemed more concerned about the medical students than me the patient, which is fine, but don't make me pay $500 for residency training. Was one of the weirdest, most overpriced things I've every been a part of.

My experience with them has been completely negative, without qualification. I made every reasonable attempt to settle a patient's account whose appointment had been prepaid with a check from her father, but to no avail. The check was neither cleared nor returned, and the patient's account was turned over to collections. During the past six months, all my numerous attempts to contact the Center in this regard by phone during their official business hours have been futile, and all of my voice mail requests for a return call have been ignored.
