*** UPDATE: I had a recent more positive experience with this particular location. They gave clothes, shoes, and shower and skipped the Hollywood Shenanigans. Boosting rating for that one experience, but it may fluctuate.*** Was good at one time. Now it's just petty. Not the same spirit.They don't want to give showers or provide food or clothes to certain people. Good luck if you ever get put in a situation where they're you're only source of "help".

man I went by this place back in June when I was in LA I'm from New York I went to LA because I want to do like a transfer from my job and basically this place yeah they give food but basically like just sandwiches and yeah you can receive mail but just saying like in this place I don't know for one In LA to go to a shelter is like pretty difficult because they say they not doing intakes but some people that work for these places like dont really know nothing.

I've gone here 3 times in the past week (earlier today even) and NO ONE is ever there to help answer some questions for me. I can't call to set an appointment because one thing I need help with is transferring my cell phone from state to state.

I reported ongoing abuse of disabled adults to the staff of People Concern. They dropped me as a client rather than "rock the boat" and be involved in helping me and the others folks affected by this abuse in our permanent supportive housing program. Don't trust them, they will drop you immediately to protect their funding.

I want to leave an honest review about how this shelter operates. I’ve been staying here, and getting any real help is almost impossible. Whenever you ask about things like job assistance or free English classes, all you hear is “We’ll check,” “We’ll let you know,” or “We’ll tell you on Monday.” But nothing ever happens after that. Weeks go by with zero follow-up. If you don’t constantly repeat the same requests over and over, you just get ignored. It feels like the system here works on the idea that if you only ask once, then you must not really need it. That’s an unprofessional and very strange approach. Overall, it seems like the shelter’s internal processes are really poorly managed: requests aren’t recorded, information doesn’t get passed along, and people who are genuinely trying to improve their lives end up having to chase down the most basic help. I really hope the management pays attention to what’s going on, because people in difficult situations need real support—not empty promises and endless delays. Thank you for consistently providing food for the homeless community in L.A. and giving folks a safer alternative to stay other than Skid Row while transitioning into the system and figuring out housing. The Thanksgiving meals and gift bags were so good!
