He needs to get his practice in order. He told me if I had issues with my veneers, I would be able to get an appointment easily to fix them and that it would considered a dental priority. So when one of mine chipped and another cracked, and they couldn't see me until months out despite their being pain in the cracked one, I was very disappointed. I still took the appointment, even though I was not going to be in the area, because I believe he is a skilled dentist. However, his office unilaterally cancelled on me two days before my flight into San Diego JUST for this appointment. Honestly, this is no way to treat your customers. This dentist should probably just stop taking new patients, rather than offer to see new patients but provide a low quality experience. Honestly, it feels that you should be so lucky to get an appointment with your own dentist. Screw that.

Dr Chapokas is a handful of dentists on this planet who is dual board certified in prosthodontics and periodontics! He has exceptional clinical skills, compassionate, extremely gentle and painless visits with patients, and worth every dollar! Do not waste your money for complex dental treatment and implant treatment elsewhere. Get it done right the first time with Dr Chapokas! Highly recommend!

So much to say this guy gave me my mouth back I had a bad time dealing with my teeth when I was younger my own mistake but meeting friends. Chapokas was the best thing fully designed and developed a plan to give me fully functional teeth without the worry of having to pop them in and out. Fully fixed in place dentures many appointments it took for this many surgeries and painful times can never amount to the work he has done for me the best dentist around hands down. Thank you

Great place to get your dental work done. The office is completely brand new and beautiful. The staff is friendly and willing to help. If you are in the Hillcrest or surrounding areas, check out Dr. Chapokas and his team.

I met Dr. Chapokas on a flight and thought this is a wonderful guy. I had a dentist at the time that was always trying to up-sell me, and it seemed like there was always a reason to get this scan, or that crown replaced, etc. I decided I would check out Dr. Chapokas office going forward and my experience has been wonderful ever since. I've been going for roughly 3 years now. I see Dr. McDonald twice a year to have my teeth cleaned and the dental hygienist does an excellent job. I would recommend them to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Even on an airplane.

Dr. MacDonald, his partner Dr. Chapokas, and all of their staff and technicians are first rate. This is the best dental office in San Diego, and beyond. Caring, competent, compassionate, and professional just begins to describe my own experiences. There are many times that I sought the help of these fine people, sometimes under very stressful emergencies when I was worried about a dental issue, or in great distress. They always come through with wonderful treatment, kind words, and reassurances. These are genuinely good people. I really can't say enough good things about them. I'm sure that you'll have a similar experience.

Dr. Andrew Chapokas is one of the most competent, professional and compassionate dentists that I have ever had the privilege to know. He removed my son's wisdom teeth without any undue pain or complications. My son's recovery period was quick and complete. Dr. Chapokas called our home that evening following the procedure to make sure he was resting comfortably. If you are seeking a highly competent and caring dentist with wonderful chair side manner, I would by all means recommend seeing Dr. Andrew Chapokas.

Always five-stars at Dr. Chapokas's office. The front desk staff is friendly, really knowledgeable about insurance claims, and goes out of their way to get you the appointment time you want if it's at all possible. Dr. Chapokas has the best chair side manner of any dentist I've ever had in 63 years. He's thorough, he wants to treat a condition in the most conservative way first before resorting to more complicated procedures like an implant. I have had three of them from Dr. Chapokas and each time it went really well, and I'm thrilled with the results. I just can't say enough about the professionalism and skill of the entire staff. Do not even hesitate to make an appointment if you are looking for the most skilled dentist, prosthodontist and periodontist you will ever have. He's one of very few dentists who carry all of those titles. And in addition, he's a very friendly, sweet guy and makes you feel like you are his only patient in the time you are with him!
