My jaw and teeth were hurting so badly, I did not know what to do. I was ready to have my teeth pulled. My friend recommended Dr. Lama Shoukfeh and she examined me and realized I was clenching my teeth so hard, which was causing my pain. She did Botox injections (which I barely felt) for my TMJ, followed by a custom-fit bitesplint to open my bite and what a relief!! Within a few days, I was feeling so much better. She explained to me that the Botox is to relax the muscles in the face and then the bite guard helps keep the teeth from exerting unusual amounts of pressure on the teeth. I am relieved and will not sleep without wearing that night guard. Thank goodness for Dr. Shoukfeh and her kind staff!

I have not been to see a dentist in over 20years due to extreme anxiety from bad experiences in my younger years. This office was so welcoming, the doctor was calming and understanding about my anxiety! The Dental Hygienist was amazing and reassuring! After all these years they have changed my life and how I see dentistry. Thank you!

I have been a patient of Dr. Shoukfeh's for a few years and have received a variety of dental procedures, ranging from generic cleanings to braces to Invisalign to whitening. The doctor is INCREDIBLY kind and knowledgeable and has always conveyed information in a way that is accessible and easy to understand for her patients. Both she and her staff are very comforting and welcoming, and the office is a cute and clean establishment where you can tell that you are getting top-quality personalized care (unlike the corporate dental practices that I used to go to). The prices are also very reasonable given the high level of care and quality you are receiving. When I first visited her office, I had severe orthodontic issues caused by tongue thrust. I lacked a lot of confidence in my smile and it really affected my life. Dr. Shoukfeh comforted me and showed me that there was an easy way out. She walked me through various treatment plans and options and helped me with various procedures as well as Invisalign and whitening. Today, I get so many compliments about my smile. I HIGHLY recommend Advanced Dental Care in Lubbock, Texas! Dr. Lama Shoukfeh and her team are the best! I have been a patient here for my cleanings and hygiene appointments for more than 12 years, and the care, professionalism, and compassion I have received from Dr. Shoukfeh and her staff has been OUTSTANDING. I don’t have good dental insurance (who does, right?), but the awesome staff helped me maximize my benefits. They also offered me several payment plan options. Several years ago, Dr Shoukfeh removed my impacted wisdom teeth and kept me comfortable throughout the procedure. I was nervous, but she made sure I was at ease. More recently, I came here to get a cracked tooth extracted, had a bone graft placed and returned a few months later for a dental implant and implant crown. Dr. Shoukfeh is very gentle! My pain is gone and I can chew again with my dental implant. It’s so nice not to have a missing tooth anymore. What I think sets this office apart from all the rest is the genuine care and compassion they show their patients. They listen to you, educate you, and they work WITH you, especially if you are nervous and anxious, and treat you with kindness and respect.

I love this doctor; however; check with your insurance before jumping in because mine paid very little even after the receptionist told me it paid well. I also was mislead on the expenses and what seemed to be excessive cleanings. I’m now leary of most dental offices especially those no being in network I’m stuck with a major bill now with teeth that still need repair—-even those that 3 different dentists attempted, but failed to repair after my earlier great dentist retired.
